Happy Mother's Day | Leighton DaCosta, Charleston Portrait Photographer

You know, one of the things that we lose sight of with modern technology is how many pictures and memories we keep in our digital devices. Mobile phones, tablets, computers, data bases, and other locations. But a few weeks ago, when my uncle asked me if I had any photos of my mom so that he could show someone at a reunion, I realized that all of the images I had of my mother were only in prints.

The one thing I know about shooting with new equipment is to always do a test roll first, just so that you can have a baseline, or to learn things that you wouldn't see unless you were shooting. The worst time to find out something is wrong is when you're on a shoot for a paying client.
